There is only one engine and transmission choice available for the 2024 Trax, but Chevrolet has chosen the drivetrain wisely. The Trax utilizes an extremely fuel-efficient 1.2L 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. Despite its diminutive size, this engine makes 137 horsepower, plenty to pull the relatively light Trax through city traffic with its 6-speed automatic transmission. Its EPA rating of 28 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway is excellent.
Buyers are offered a choice of five different trim levels, LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS and ACTIV. Buyers will likely be surprised by the level of standard equipment that comes on the base LS.
